Pork

Why Our Pork?
Our farm raised pigs are fed a vegetarian diet free from antibiotics and steroids.  They live on the ground allowed to root in the dirt like they love to do.  They are also given a healthy supply of fruit and veggie scraps and back scratches.  Happy pigs make good pork and you will love ours.
How Big is a Side of Pork?
Every pig is different so every side of pork will be too.  However, we can figure an average based on weight.  Each side of pork will include about 125 to 150 pounds of pork.
How is it cut?
Your side of pork will be custom cut to your specifications.  Do you want your pork chops thicker or ham sliced?  No problem.  The butcher can take care of that for you.  Our sides will include but are not limited to pork chops, bacon, ham, cutlets, ribs, and sausage.  And if there is a cut that you don't want, that's no problem either.  Any part of the pork can be made into sausage.  That way, you only get what you want the way you want it.

How Much $?
When you buy a side of pork, it's common to pay "hanging weight".  Hanging weight is what the carcass weights before it is cut into packaged meat.
Our pork is $2.00/pound
Meat processing is an additional fee charged by the butcher and done by weight.  It will run approximately $120 for half hogs.
